Creating a Townshare account is free and easy. Simply click on the "Sign Up" icon in the upper right corner of the page. 

Register as:  Choose the type of profile you wish to create.
  • Customer - This profile is for individuals (non-business).  
  • Business - This profile is for businesses.
Fill-in the entry fields (name, email, bio, etc.) which will populate your profile page.  

Agree to the Terms & Conditions for website usage, and click submit.

Congratulations you are registered with Townshare!

Reset your password

  • Go to the log in page
  • Select the Forgot Password? link
  • Enter the email address you use for the Townshare
  • Click Send

You will be emailed a link to reset your password.

 

Change your password

If you know your current password, you can change it:

  • Go to your account -> profile
  • Select Change Password
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter and confirm your new password
  • Click Save

If you have registered a business or personal account you should have received a confirmation email, sent to the registered email address that was used when creating the profile during Sign Up.  Please check your Junk Mail folder(s) for the email.  If you did not receive a confirmation email, please contact us at support@townshare.com

Currently we do not offer eCommerce capabilities.  We are a small business ourselves and will be implementing eCommerce as well as more new features in our next site update (coming soon)!

Townshare Communities are special interest groups across the country created by registered individuals and businesses.  The beauty of Townshare Communities is the freedom to create groups for individuals that share any type (within the Terms & Conditions) of interest and passions.  It is a space to gather, share ideas, thoughts, news, events, and support.  Don't be shy!  There are always communities and other people who share your interests out there, so create your Townshare Community today and build your local group!

Townshare is designed as a digital space specifically for local and regional businesses.  These businesses are typically small to mid-sized.  Some sell their products/services in a particular region, and some distribute nationwide.  

Any industries (that do not violate the Terms and Conditions) are welcome!  

Available to US based businesses only.  

Verified Businesses feature a checkmark by their business names.  

Businesses that wish to operate in the US are legally required to register with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).  Once registered they receive a publicly available US Employer Identification Number (EIN).  This serves as the business' federal identification number, and proof that they are a legitimate business recognized by the US federal government.

We ask that businesses provide this as a way to protect our members and other businesses.  When you see the checkmark, you can be assured that you are viewing a legally registered business.

**  EIN numbers are not visible on their profile pages, and can only be viewed/edited by the business' administrators in their profile settings.

 

What if I don't see a checkmark?


EIN numbers are publicly available numbers that ensure you are dealing with a legally registered US business.  Some legal businesses do not require an EIN under certain conditions (sole-proprietor, single-member LLC).  However, that is more of an exception than commonplace.  Businesses that have employees are required to have an EIN.  

Some businesses may choose to not include this in their profile for personal reasons.

Absence of a checkmark could also mean you are viewing a personal seller.  We recommend using caution and commonsense when viewing or interacting with any personal seller that is not a US registered business.
